Ken A. Peterman
President, ITT Communications Systems
Mr. Ken A. Peterman is President of ITT’s Communications Systems (ITT CS) (NYSE: ITT). Appointed to the position in November 2007, his responsibilities include management and operations of facilities in Indiana, New Jersey, California, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, New York, South Carolina, and the United Kingdom.
Fort Wayne-based ITT CS produces Tactical Communications Systems, Satellite Communications Systems, Wireless Communication Systems, Special Mission Communications Systems, Information Assurance and Cryptographic Systems, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Networking Solutions and Integrated C4 (Command, Control, Communications and Computer) Systems for U.S. and allied forces and many government agencies as well as for commercial air traffic control.
Mr. Peterman came to ITT from Rockwell Collins Government Systems where he held a series of positions of increasing responsibility to include several general manager positions before being named Vice President and General Manager, C3 Systems. In this position, he was responsible for overseeing the portfolios for Command, Control, and Communications Systems and prior to that, for Displays Systems. Before joining Rockwell Collins, Mr. Peterman was Director of Business Development and Strategic Planning, Director of Advanced Programs, and Director of Ground and Satellite Communication Programs for Raytheon Tactical Systems Division in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Peterman has more than 28 years of defense industry experience in program management, strategic planning, marketing, engineering, and research and development.
Mr. Peterman holds a BSEE with high honors from Tri-State University and completed executive development programs at Pennsylvania State and Stanford Universities.
Mr. Peterman is a member of the following organizations: Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Association of the United States Army, Airlift Tanker Association, Army Aviation Association of America, Navy League, Association of Old Crows, and the National Defense Industrial Association.
