ITT Awarded Contract to Provide Critical Communications Support for US Department of State

December 14, 2005 – The Department of State, Bureau of Administration, Office of Logistics, has awarded ITT a 5-year (1 base year and four 1-year options) sole-source contract, valued at $19 million, to provide operational support and sustainment of message switching systems. Contract work will be performed by ITT’s Systems Division, headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO.

The contract will include a full range of communications system software support that consists of application design, development, and sustainment for the Automated Terminal Station (ATS) and the State Telecommunications Automated Relay System (STARS). Other activities include LAN support, configuration management, network management, infrastructure integration, information technology systems analysis and information security needed to ensure the Department of State’s ability to sustain their critical worldwide communications messaging system.

As a part of ITT, Systems Division provides, on a worldwide basis, select Government, commercial, and international customers value-added, total systems solutions for turn-key satellite earth terminals, air and missile defense, communications, command and control, spacelift, surveillance and equipment and facility maintenance, which includes service life extension and full logistics life cycle support.
